DOMAINE LA GARELLE

 This exciting winery and 19 hectare vineyard is situated in the Luberon, 35k east of Avignon, near Oppede and Menerbes.  It is owned by an agronomist and managed by another agronomist.

 The wines speak for themselves.

A blend of 90% vermentino and 10% ugni blanc. Fermented in French oak barriques and aged on lees.  13% alc/vol.

DOMAINE DE FONTAVIN

A family owned estate of 45 hectares located in Courthezon in the Southern Rhone Valley near Chateauneuf du Pape, between Avignon and Orange.

Helene Chouvet, the winemaker and oenologist, has run the business since 1997 and represents the seventh generation.

Through family connections Domaine de Fontavin sources grapes from vineyards across the Rhone Valley and produces Chateauneuf du Pape, Gigondas, Vacqueras, Muscat de Baumes de Venise as well as red, white and rose Cotes du Rhone.

The estate is in the final year of a conversion to organic principles.  The first certified wines were vintage 2011.

LES COTEAUX DE FOURNES

A small co-operative located in the village of Fournes, between Avignon and Uzes.

Unusually, the members of the co-operative have dedicated themselves to quality rather than quantity.

Many of the source vineyards for Fournes are in the Cotes du Rhone appellation and one wine (Mas Gallon) is biological (no herbicides).

We think that the Fournes range offers outstanding value for money.

    only one thing in the text presenting the wines, part Fournès it is marked “Mas GALLON ” instead of Mas de Jallon…
